An overview of 50 Cent’s car collection
Supercars are usually built in limited editions, making the price skyrocket high into the clouds. Since celebrities own most of the supercars it is nice when we get the chance to peek a little inside the garage or hangar or even better, check out the star itself showcasing the car.
More than half of celebrity owned cars belong to rappers, and amazingly, 50% of these are Bugatti Veyrons. To create a better image of this, just remember that a Veyron was priced between 2.2 and 2.7 million dollars. While the Veyron is definitely something to catch the eye of any passerby, having a fleet of different sportcars is even better.
This is the case of rapper and producer Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent. Featured in MTV’s Cribs reality show, 50 Cent revealed some of the vehicles currently under his possesion. Here is an overview of the supercars Curtis Jackosn owns at the moment.
- Lamborghini Murcielago
The car was bought back in 2005 to celebrate the release of 50 Cent’s second album, The Massacre. Initially painted charcoal grey, it has been resprayed to chrome, then finally changed to custom metallic blue, with matching calipers and ceramic brakes. The first time the Lambroghini was spotted in the metallic blue colorway was inside an Instagram photo posted by the rapper, showing him controlling a drone, with the supercar in the background.
- Bulletproof Chevrolet Suburban
Living in the hood may have placed a figerprint on the famous rapper, as his collection also includes two Chevrolet Suburbans, both featuring bulletproof armoring. To be honest, getting shot 9 times is probably enough reason to pay $200,000 for an armored car that hold off bullets, bombs and even keep rolling when the tyres have been shot.
- Rolls Royce Phantom
After getting huge money from his first album, 50 Cent bought a Mercedes C240 for his grandmother, then acquired a Rolls Royce Phantom for himself. Initially, Curtis intended to repaint the car, fully covering in chrome paint. However, after a meeting with the Rolls Royce president who should him how would a chrome painted door would look like, the rapper changed his mind. As he states “the car would have looked like a huge silver bus”.
- Ferrari FF
Although it is not the first Ferrari to be bought by the rapper, the latest 6.3 litre, 651 hp Ferrari FF boasts a custard paint, or as Ferrari calls it, “Grigio Abu Dhabi”. In other words, it almost the same nuance one would notice on the cabs rolling the streets of Dubai. Whether this is the first of a new colorway set planned by the rapper or just one of a kind, only time will tell.
- Speed Racer
It doesn’t sound like any familiar highly expensive, limited edition car, right? That is because, unlike the other vehicles in his fleet, Curtis Jackson designed this one himself. The three wheeled concept was executed by Parker Brothers Concepts. The maine attraction of the car besides it’s Sci-Fi appearance is the rear hubless monster tire.
