The fastest vehicle in the world, the Koenigsegg CCX comes with a 4.7 liter, twin boosted V8 engine that pushes 795 horsepower. With a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of around 3.2 seconds, and a best speed of 245 miles per hour, the CCX is the fastest car in the world and with some modifications, becomes even faster. Cristiano Ronaldo purchased his CCX in 2009 with a price tag of $545,568 but is rumored to be a customized version that reaches 250 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest cars in the world.

Ralph Lauren’s Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition

The perfect balance of luxury and sheer power, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport comes with a 1,200 horsepower engine that propels this beast of a supercar to a staggering top speed of 268 miles per hour, which is electronically limited to 258 miles per hour. Guinness World Records recognize it as the “fastest street-legal production car” in the world. Its 0 to 60 miles per hour time is an unbelievable 2.2 seconds. The best part is that only 8 of them have ever been produced. That, however, comes with a hefty, base price tag of $2.4 million that only goes up!

Steve Tyler’s Hennessey Venom GT Roadster

One of the fastest automobiles in the world, the Hennessey Venom GT has a recorded maximum speed of 270.49 miles per hour, making it the unofficial fastest car in the world. As only 29 cars have been built to date, it does not qualify for the Guinness World Records title. That said, it does 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds and holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest 0 to 186 miles per hour time with 13.63 seconds. The estimated topmost speed of the 2014 Hennessey Venom GT is a whopping 278 miles per hour, but hasn’t been tested yet because they couldn’t find a straight road long enough! All this comes at a very reasonable $1.1 million, which is less than half of what the Veyron Super Sport costs!
